Open Practice is for those who can already ski or snowboard independently and are looking to build confidence, improve technique, or simply enjoy time on the slope.
This is not a lesson. There is no instruction provided during these sessions.
Skiers must be able to:
Control speed using a snowplough
Turn and stop confidently
Use the drag lift without assistance
Snowboarders must be able to:
Control speed using heel and toe edges
Perform a basic falling leaf
Stop safely
Use the drag lift without assistance
If you are unable to meet these requirements, we recommend booking a lesson instead.
Open Practice is unsupervised skiing or riding time
This is not suitable for complete beginners
Participants must be able to control themselves safely at all times
Anyone unable to meet the minimum standard may be asked to leave the slope for safety reasons
No refunds will be given if removed
Please arrive 30 minutes before your session for equipment fitting
Equipment hire is included (skis or snowboard, boots and helmet)
Gloves are required (not provided)
The slope is mist-lubricated, so participants may get wet
Sessions should be booked online in advance where possible, as availability is limited and sessions can fill quickly.

Cancellation Policy
Bookings can be moved or cancelled within 24 hours of making the booking free of charge
Changes made more than 7 days before the session are subject to a £10 per person fee
Changes made less than 7 days before the session are subject to a 50% charge
